Imagine your child's "job" is to play, learn, and grow. OT focuses on developing the skills children need to participate fully in their daily activities.
Skills that can be addressed:
Fine Motor Skills – Strengthening small hand and finger movements needed for tasks like writing, buttoning clothes, and using utensils
Visual Motor Skills – Helping children coordinate their eyes and hands for activities like catching a ball, cutting with scissors, or handwriting
Visual Perception – Improving how children interpret and understand what they see, which is important for reading, puzzles, and finding objects in a busy space
Executive Functioning – Developing attention, memory, and problem-solving skills to help with focus, organization, and daily routines
Sensory Processing – Supporting children in how they interpret and respond to sensory input (touch, sounds, movement, and more). We help kids who may be over- or under-sensitive to their environment, which can affect emotions and behavior
Self-Care Skills – Teaching everyday tasks like dressing, eating, bathing, and toileting to promote independence
Social-Emotional Skills – Encouraging positive interactions, such as sharing and taking turns
